People of Pakistan

Pakistan is one of the countries blessed with people from different races of the world. At the moment there are Punjabis, Pashtuns, Hazaras, Saraikis, Balochis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Gilgitis, Baltis and many other races in large numbers in Pakistan.

Historically the land of Pakistan was part of Hindustan (Land of the Hindus). The original people of the area were dravidians. They were weak, dark colored people having non combatant nature. In 2000 B.C. the Arians entered this part of India and conquered it. They made the natives their slaves and they ruled the region. The same race conquered Afghanistan and south India also.

When Alexandar the great came, he conquered this part of the world and got injured while fighting against the Hindu Raja Poras of Jhelum. He conquered this part of the world and got severely sick when he was conquering Sindh. He went back but many people from his army stayed here for generations. The lost Tribes of Bani Israel conquered Afghanistan and some parts of present Pakistan. Most of the Pashtuns are part of those Tribes.

Muslim Arabs also conquered this part of the world and left many Arabian tribes here. Similarly the Persians conquered this part of the world and many persian Tribes are part of people of Pakistan. Turks also ruled this part of the world in the times of Taimur.. That is why one can see many Turk tribes among people of Pakistan. British also conquered this part of the world and some British people also settled here but they are in minority.

Majority of the people of Pakistan are Muslims. They make up 96% of the population. Still the minority has been given their due rights which include the Hindus, Christians and the Sikhs. People of Pakistan are very friendly living together peacefully with each other for centuries. However the foreign invasions of Russia, USA and NATO in Afghanistan has made things complicated for the country as well as for People of Pakistan.
